Born in Bristol in 1989, the one called “The Ace” by the public and his opponents has been getting a lot of attention lately on the World Snooker Tour.

By claiming victory at the Northern Ireland Open in Belfast in October beating Chris Wakelin 9-3, Judd Trump achieved his third consecutive ranking event win. He became the fifth player in the history of the World Tour to do so. During that same month at the English Open, he beat Zhang Anda 9-7 during the final and achieved the fourth back-to-back win of his career a week after bringing home victory at the inaugural Wuhan Open, defeating Ali Carter 10-7.

It had been 19 months since the English player didn’t claim any ranking title but he is now back at the 2nd place on the World ranking.

Judd Trump has an impressive track record. Just to name a few, at the age of 14, he becomes the youngest player ever to make a competitive 147. In 2007, he becomes the third youngest player to compete the World Championship, after Stephen Hendry and Ronnie O’Sullivan. In 2012, he claims the International Championship and becomes world number one for the first time.

In 2019, he lifts the Masters trophy for the first time and becomes World Champion. The following year, he breaks the record for the biggest number of ranking event wins in a single season. We could go on and on as his titles are piling up from the UK Championship, the European Masters to the Champion of Champions trophy.

Judd Trump is a Brand Ambassador of Strachan since 2013, the world’s leading brand of snooker, English and Chinese pool cloths used in various high profile tournaments.
